Know before you goWhile just about any month is great to visit France, Switzerland, Austria, and Italy, there are a few prime times of the year for the Peaks of Europe tour. Here are some recommendations from our destination experts.
Spring: Milder weather and fewer crowds in the shoulder season make spring a nice time to visit.
Summer: A great time for this tour is in the summer, with colorful, breathtaking scenery in every direction. It’s the busy season, so you’ll see lots of other travelers. While the weather can get quite warm, the Alps tend to be a bit cooler than the surrounding areas.
Fall: You’ll still encounter crowds through mid-October, but the weather is sensational.
