Blarney Castle Cliffs of Moher Only thing I would change if I could…if attractions have venues for food, have that as the lunch spot for those interested in having lunch. And then those who do not want to eat can have more time exploring the sites.

Overall, I felt the tour was very enjoyable. We saw so much every day and covered a lot of ground. Our driver was fantastic. The tour guide was extremely knowledge and cordial. I felt the overnight at the Granville a disappointment. Half of the twin sized mattress was damaged and made for a rough night. The food selection was limited and unappetizing. I did enjoy the other accommodations. As a person with food allergies, I struggled on this trip even though Collette, the tour guides, Aer Lingus, and my very diligent doggedness hour to hour with every single vendor was made known. It was hit or miss, and as a result, I was ill. Not what I expected on vacation, and has colored my overall experience. As a result, I quit eating what was offered because I couldn’t trust what I was told. I travel often and must say this is the first time I’ve had this experience. What a shame. Yet, I came away with nice memories of sights we toured.

While there is SO much to see, I think the "Shades" tour gives a terrific overview of the countless sites, sounds and flavors available! I feel particularly lucky to have had Barbara Hunter as our guide. She provided us an unforgettable experience with her knowledge of all the sites visited. Her personable friendly demeanor and quick wit was second to none and kept the tour particularly interesting and action-packed!

This tour really gave us a great overview of Ireland, a mix of urban and countryside. I particularly enjoyed Blarney Castle, Ring of Kerry, Cliffs of Mohr and staying at Cabra Castle. Dublin was great as well as Killarney and Limerick. We’re there places we wish we could have spent a little more time? Sure, but that just gives me a reason to go back! Going on a tour means you’re on the tour’s schedule, but it does make things very easy and and you get to see much more of the country. I highly recommend this tour!

As I took I’ll on the tour I went as far as the check In on monday28 but we did not sleep at hotel I was admitted to Kerry hospital for 9 days . The tour guide was not helpful in getting a place close to hospital or really concerned for us. This was our first time in Ireland and because we didn’t complete the tour we are due a refund. We had to fork over more money to get home and paying for transportation our credit card got hacked. Yes it was a nightmare. Depending on how the insurance we paid for will make a difference on how we feel . This was not the first Collette trip we took we went to Portugal and it was amazing.

Barbara Hunter, our tour guide, and Donel Healy, our tour bus driver were absolutely fantastic!!! The hotels and meals were great. The trip could not have gone any smoother. The only thing I wish could have been different was the return airline connection. Our inbound flight was from Philadelphia straight to Dublin. Our return was Dublin to LHR to Philadelphia. The connection was very tight for seniors with bad knees and physical restrictions. Other than that, it was great! We would travel Collette again. Once again.. Barbara Hunter is a wealth of knowledge!! Absolutely a fantastic person and tour guide.

My wife and I signed up with Collett to tour Southern Ireland and we also added a few days in Edinburgh. Things we liked: - overall, the people are friendly, helpful, and welcoming. - tour manager, tour guides, and driver were all excellent. - all the accommodations were clean and most were roomy. - the planned tours were interesting and engaging. - the meals provided were hearty and tasty Things we didn’t like: - arriving in Ireland on Day 1 to the hotel at 6am with rooms available at 3pm. The majority in our tour would have gladly paid for an extra night to be able to freshen up and nap for an hour or two. - the weather; most of our trip was fine, but there were two excursions which were rained/fogged out. I know there’s no one to blame here - just wanted to mention it. - although we enjoined Edinburgh and would love to travel there again, the hotel chosen was a bit off the beaten path, the staff there were overworked and a bit terse, and the room allocations were a little strange; one person in our group traveling alone received a large room with a king size bed; my wife and I received a double bed, and two women in our group sharing a room received a queen bed and a sofa bed. - the restaurant chosen for the included dinner in Edinburgh wasn’t a restaurant, or even a pub; it was a bar with just sides available.

Not enough time visiting the small towns of Ireland. Instead we were brought to bigger cities to do shopping. We stayed a a beautiful castle and our rooms were lovely....but we got there just before dark and left early the next morning for the airport. It would have been wonderful to spend most of the day there. Didn't have any time to walk the grounds or go through the castle to fine the cocktail lounge and the room the dinner was held or hoe to get back to our rooms.

Tony was a very skilled driver and so helpful with my 90-year-old mother and her electric wheelchair. They were a great pair. I enjoyed all of the tour inclusions, and the meals and accommodations were worth the money. I never felt bored or disliked the stops we had. I would definitely book another trip with Collette.

The planning was exquisite and the tour generally well-run, but being a bus tour, there were many instances where the tour manager would point out an interesting site as we passed by. If, as in my case, you want photos to show to others, its difficult to get good photos from the inside of the bus. I would really have liked to have the bus stop for a 5- or 10-minute "photo op" at those times.

Collette booked us on American Airlines into Dublin at 0500 but we did not have hotel rooms until after noon. (Bad) Everyone should understand this is a "taste of Ireland" requiring many changes in location and hotels. Our tour manager was very worried about Covid but there was no hand sanitizer, masks, or tissues on the coach. Anyone who got sick was treated like a plague carrier. The Medieval dinner at the castle needs some work. When I pay for a special event I would like to be able to see it. Half of the guests have their backs to the entertainment because we are seated at trestle tables. Ireland is a beautiful country and I enjoyed the tour. The hotels were top notch and the food was delicious. Our tour manager was a veritable wealth of information. We especially enjoyed the welcome at the Belvidere and the pub night in Belfast. I really enjoyed the local guides and the tour manager. For some reason, it did not seem like we actually visited as many sites as on the other tours I've taken with Collette. My only fault with the tour was that we had to spend so much time on the bus. Perhaps one or two fewer stops would have given us more time to rest and enjoy some of the Irish culture. Also I was disappointed in the food. I understand that it is difficult to serve large groups but perhaps we could have been given options or a food allowance. The food for large groups was limited and in my opinion not the best quality. Fiona was wonderful. She was a wealth of information and conveyed it to our group in an easy friendly manor. The trip had great planned excursions like the Cliffs of Moher but also provided free time to explore the streets of Dublin, Killarney, and Galway. The last night stay at Cabra Castle was in an amazing venue on a sunny warm afternoon and our room was huge. Provided meals at all venues were quite good. Learning more about Ireland's history and present from our guide, Mike, and our transfer drivers was very interesting. The extra excursion to the medieval dinner and entertainment at Knappogue Castle was very enjoyable.

Messed up flight reservation. Did not accurately communicate/omitted key info on shuttle options. Found this tour to be "hit the ground running". Be prepared for being on the go, and on the bus frequently. It's a sightseeing tour, not a vacation, lots to see. Some time on your own, hotel choices all very nice! Food was excellent, however at some "included" meals drink was not included even non-alcoholic, be prepared for extra costs if you want something other than water. The driver's they use for the Coach gave comfort and always felt safe as we navigated the old roads that are not wide! Landscape is very beautiful even if it rained all but perhaps 2 days of this "10" day tour. Tour isn't actually 10 days as your first day is the day you travel there, tour group doesn't meet until the next afternoon, and end of tour is last day, so it's another travel day. In my case the tour manager and the entire group left for the airport by the Coach bus at 6am from our hotel leaving only me behind to go by the preplanned car service many of us had scheduled by Collette the entire time and before. If you go on this tour, wish you the best and hope your tour manager is someone that will remain neutral and not have favorites and leave you behind. Safe Travels

Michael was an amazing tour guide. He was pleasant, funny, engaging, and knowledgeable. He had a wonderful caring nature and a nature nurturer that made us feel at home. He made our experience exceptional!!! Ireland is an amazingly beautiful country and the people are equally amazing. Every excursion and experience is something we will hold dear forever. This was a dream trip of mine and I would consider this a dream come true. I found myself smiling (even when sick) because of the amazing experience. We met people from all over the US and the world and feel truly blessed to have made these new friends. The only set backs we experienced was that my husband's luggage was lost the entire time we were in London before Ireland and on the way home from Ireland we were not seated together. We both were ill and it made the flight feel that much longer not to be with each other. Otherwise we had a fantastic experience. We took so many beautiful pictures.

The weather was beautiful for us. Only had cold winds and foggy mist at Cliffs of Moher. Locals said this is the rule rather than the exception. :) Everyone enjoyed the guide and driver. They are very knowledgeable and always very pleasant. The walking tour in Waterford was full of local history with a fun twist. Every location on the trip has its own wonderful memories. Our hotels were a mix of quaint dockside, suburban and city-center locations. All were charming and very nice accommodations. If I had to add something I would add a night in Galway. We were only there for a few hours one afternoon. I took both extensions to London and Edinburgh. They were wonderful but I will try for a longer visit to each next time.

Overall the trip was great. Last time I was there we stayed right in town and at night we could visit the pubs and meet different people. Group travel is something that my wife and I have really enjoyed. Collette does a marvelous job of including a variety of activities, options to do a bit more, and unscheduled time to venture out on your own. This was my 7th trip with Collette and, by far, was the best Collette experience to date. This was due, in part to the top-shelf tour guide, Sean Curran, as well as the best collection of hotels throughout the trip. Even after the trip, Sean provided resources to engage us further, such as reading lists, historical information, music selections, and movies featuring the country. Kudos to Collette for this gem of a trip!

The medievel banquet at Bunratty was one of the highlights and so was the dinner at Clever East after the Guinness visit. One thing I want to add is that after expecting a visit to an active whiskey distillery, the Kilbeggan was a disappointment. The guide was very nice but such a strong french accent he was hard to understand and since it was a Sunday and Mother's Day it was mostly closed down. This is being reimbursed by Collette, but is taking to long to be resolved. The weather was exceptionally warm and sunny and our exceptionally beautiful hotels did their best to accommodate everyone with fans since air conditioning was not usually needed in Ireland. We loved all the special stops that were added that made us feel special too.

All of the included activities each day were excellent and very interesting. The local guides were very knowledgeable and informative. The included meals had a good variety of choices and were very tasty. The hotel rooms were perfect, especially room #117 at the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis. It was super duper! The optional excursion to the Guinness Storehouse and the Medieval Banquet were wonderful. The Medieval Banquet and meal and the Titanic Museum were the highlights of the tour for me. It was a privilege to have the best tour manager, Sean Curran, and the best coach driver, Donal Healey, for our tour. They are such professional gentlemen. My one wish for this trip was to view the Book of Kells. Sean helped me schedule tickets and gave me directions to the Trinity College, so I was able to accomplish this wish. My one suggestion would be to schedule a flight that would arrive in Dublin after 5:00 a.m. Our flight arrived at 4:00 a.m. and sat on the runway for an hour before approaching the gate, since gate and customs workers did not report until 5:00 a.m.

Our (Italian) tour "guide" had no knowledge of the country/areas we visited in Ireland. We traveled through fascinating areas that we would love to have learned about, but we were told nothing of the towns and sites we saw because our guide knew nothing about them. With the exception of our last two hotels, the accommodations were disappointing. We have traveled widely on our own, and we will never take another tour with ANY company because of this disappointing experience. Those who plan to book a tour would be advised to study the sites in advance and bring along a guide book for information. There were some highlights on the tour that we would recommend and perhaps return to on our own: Blarney Park, the Guinness tour in Dublin and Cabra Castle Hotel in Kingscourt.

Tour guide not familiar with region the tour covered. No local color provided during in transit time or upon arriving in locations where the only planned activity was free time. Flow of the tour was good except for limerick segment. Travled from Cliffs of Mohar to limerick, spent the night then traveled back to gallway and sheepdog demonstration and back to limerick. Staying near the Cliffs the first night would have provided more time to explore/hike in and around the cliffs and local region. Biggest disappointment was guides unfamiliarity with region. She was friendly and personable, however she was not the guide with extensive knowledge of the area being visited advertised ( and required for a quality experience) in Collette literature.

I was not happy that people from all over the U.S. were put into our private bank group. We had 22 people signed up and when we got to Ireland, there were 14 people we did not know who had been added into our tour group. I specifically asked the Colette rep 2 weeks before our departure date if others would be added into our group. All she said was that we are looking into it…….don’t tell me that she didn’t know at that moment…..she just didn’t want us to know at that time that others would be added into our group. Also to get decent seats on the airplane, we had to pay extra…..and that was pretty much at the last minute too. We should have been told long before we were that we needed to pay extra for a window or aisle seat…..we were originally assigned to be in the back row of the plane. Totally unacceptable…….since we had signed up for this trip probably at least 9 to 10 months in advance. Those things really bothered me. It would have been a different story if Collette gad been up front with us.

Tour guide placed too much emphasis on drinking in early part of trip. Too much emphasis on "bathroom" breaks at gift shops. Commentary was stale. Gave a somewhat slanted comments concerning Irish neutrality during WWII and struggle for independence from Britain. A fuller, balanced presentation would have been interesting. Last day a waste.. Leaving hotel at 10 am; traveling along 4 lane highways 30 minutes past our only activity of the day to lunch at a truck stop and then drive back to a "whisky distillery" (2 people employed in production; 25 employed in giving tours and operating gift store) that had its production moved to a modern plant years ago and then traveling to a hotel, again a four lane road, in the far south of Dublin when we had to go to the airport, in the far north of Dublin, the next morning in rush hour traffic is dumb planning. The original itinerary indicated we would be staying just north of the airport....I wonder if that is where a second, duplicate group was staying instead of us? Our tour had a 22 person group from one club in the midwest which limited the opportunity to meet people from different parts of the US. While this particular group was not clannish, it still impacts the dynamics of the tour. Collette also scheduled a second tour on the same dates as our tour. This was certainly awkward during the our time in Dublin where eating arrangements were often the same and overloaded the eateries. We also would see people from the other Collette tour periodically at various tourist traps and venues throughout the first part of our tour. The suggestion of tipping the guide $8 a day and the driver $5 a day raises the "tip" to the status of the customer directly paying a large portion of their salaries rather than Collette. Several people on the tour took strong exception to that high a "tip"; a few others felt it was appropriate. That large a "tip" payment would be well over $100,000 a year.

This trip was very difficult and exhausting. After a 10 hour flight and an 8 hour time change, we were given very little time to adjust to the time difference. We were tired and eventually just exhausted near the end of the tour. In addition, our tour guide had Covid the week before our tour started, and though she pronounced herself Covid free, I wound up getting it near the end of the tour. First time for me. Ane it wasn't just me. At about the 2/3 mark of the tour, 14 of the 38 persons on the tour stayed in their hotel rooms to 'recover' or because they had become sick. The country is beautiful but trying to see it in 12-13 days is too much. We did not stay in one location longer than 2 nights at a time and spent many hours on a coach driving on back roads. Great country and countryside, but would have appreciated more time in Belfast and Killarney.

I can’t pick just one thing! I was thrilled my husband suggested this trip for our (9th) anniversary. Ireland was even more beautiful than I had imagined. Our tour guide was FABULOUS. Everything we could have wanted was planned for us. In a word: PERFECTION! After experiencing Ireland, we intend to return for a 6-8 week LEISURELY vacation to experience the Irish life, as well as see more of Scotland. I can’t speak enough of how perfectly everything was planned, scheduled and executed by Collette Tour. We are considering another Collette Tour if sponsored by WDUN / Jacobs Media in Gainesville, GA. Both my husband and I would encourage anyone thinking about a trip to Ireland to look to Collette — and recommend a tour lead by our guide: Fiona Lane. Fiona was, quite simply, AMAZING. She was so very professional, knowledgeable, and personable. An absolute delight, even when being the “taskmaster” we all needed to enjoy each day, each experience as much as possible. (Her perfect “sidekick”, Damian, was a treasure, as well.) IF ONLY EVER COLLETTE TOUR COULD HAVE SUCH A “FIONA” — although I realize no one can match her exuberance and love for her country, and sharing with all who are on tour.

While the people were incredibly kind, I think it should be very clear up front how much forced communal time this tour includes. I had anticipated maybe a couple hours together each day for various tours, but it was togetherness from breakfast through dinner. I did not want to or enjoy being forced to eat with complete strangers at every meal. I also did not want to or enjoy being told where to sit on the bus every day. The whole trip felt very much like a middle school trip and I had really hoped to just spend time with my mom and explore Ireland. I can see how this would be a really great experience for older folks or even single folks, but this was a pretty terrible experience for me. I would not go on another tour.

Barbara arranged for us to see a working sheep farm that was awesome. The bonus (besides the fresh scones and tea!) was being able to see the original farmhouse with the thatched roof which was being replaced. Also, when we went to the northernmost point, Barbara called ahead to Farren’s Bar to see if they were open and could accommodate us. They were open and so gracious. They were happy to speak with us about their Star Wars movie experience as well! The little extras are what made this trip so memorable! Most of the accommodations were great. The hotel in Derry-City Hotel was not so great. The room was well worn and missing basics like washcloths and tissues. Even with a glitch at the Europa Hotel at check-in, Barbara smoothed out their mistake and even had them comp a drink for all of us who had to wait so long to get checked in. The pre-arranged restaurants and meals were wonderful and both Barbara and Tommy had great suggestions for us when we were on our own for meals.

Every day was packed with sites to visit and learn much about the history, culture, and politics. The first night in Dublin with the group dinner, Irish music, and dancing was just fantastic, a great experience to start off our trip. The Ring of Derry day was very special - we had clear weather with sunshine. Just riding on the coach along the coastlines was even spectacular. Really enjoyed the towns of Killarney and Derry. I was a little disappointed that our hotel was so far away from things in Limerick. We were looking forward to going to Dirty Nellies. It wasn't even close. We were also informed that on the past tours 50% of the people tested positive for covid and had to stay. Fortunately this was not the case on our tour, but if I would have know this, I don't think I would have made the trip. This dampened our last few days as we had this possibility hanging over our heads.

We had a memorable trip. The food and accommodations were excellent. Ireland did not disappoint! Here are my top five experiences: Cliffs of Moher, Killarney National Park, Long Room at Trinity College Library, walking path in front of Cabra Castle and St. Patrick's Cathedral. However, the most memorable experience for me was holding the lambs after the sheep herding demonstration. There was something about standing on the green hills in Ireland holding those babies that brought tears to my eyes. It made me think of the scripture (from Isaiah 40:11) He will carry the lambs in His arms, holding them close to His heart.

Almost everyone on the very crowded tour bus contracted Covid, We were put off the tour, by the tour guide, with three days left on the tour that we Paid for, we want to be reimbursed for the last days of hotel costs, and meals, and the flight back to the States, e cause we paid for those items, and were not used, we had to pay for our return flight twice, that is not right, need to be refunded We had to stay an extra two weeks, in Dublin, at a very expensive Hotel, we have NOT heard back from our claim on the travel insurance, but we know it takes time But, should hear something from some one. The tour was very good up until everyone got sick and stranded all over Ireland and Scotland. We have traveled with Collette several times, and you have ALWAYS treated us in an outstanding manner, getting sick, is never fun, we look forward traveling with you again, but will not, overseas, until the US Government drops the return back stateside policy on Covid. We spent over 6 thousand dollars, with living costs, Covid Testing, meds, transportation, and return flights home, we paid for twice, please advise on those parts of the tour we paid for, it did not get to enjoy because of the group getting Covid, on an over crowded bus, maybe….so it seems to us, never had that large a group on a tour with you before You folks have always done us right, always had a great time with you all, but this Ireland trip, needs fixing….please and Thanks. Collette provided a care-free experience from beginning to end - from allowing our airport transport to pick us up closer to home for our flight to London, arranging a guide in London for a half day (we even saw Kate at Kensington Palace to our guide’s surprise and delight!), great hotels and service (Limerick was my favorite). Our tour manager was beyond excellent; she was PHENOMENAL! Her knowledge was off the charts. She was personable and accessible and always on top of things. However, she was taken aback when the Kilbeggan Distillery turned us out but we all agreed that was not a problem. I think there may have been a communication issue there. The motor coach and driver were excellent; couldn’t have been better. Every day was a new adventure and new experience. It was also nice to have some “free” time to explore on our own. A truly memorable trip! The only kink was our ground transport from CLE to Canton which picked us up in the back of beyond …in the rain. Welcome home to NE OH! All in all - two thumbs up!! Thank you!!

Our tour in Ireland was wonderful - we have a terrific local guide (Fiona) - would travel with her again in a minute. But the trip there and back wasn't so great. On our way there the entertainment system on the plane had trouble all the way over (all 7 hours)- the way back we were routed through an extra city (Philly) and the plane from Dublin to Philly had it's entertainment system down completely for the entire flight (7 hours). There was a 2 hour delay in Charlotte and til we got home I was upset and exhausted. Couldn't we have been routed through Chicago so it would have been direct both ways? Would have much rather have had a bus ride to Chicago and only had one plane to deal with both ways. But aside from that our tour of Ireland was wonderful.

The friends made and the incredible tour guide and driver! Not to be negative, but two of the hotels didn't have A/C and one of them had broken A/C. One hotel gave us some fans to use which was a welcome fix! One hotel we needed to open the windows and it was downtown across from a club so it was noisy until about 2 AM. This was not horrible but it was a bit uncomfortable. Only mentioning it because if you don't know, you can't address it. It would not stop me from going again.

The places we stayed in Ireland were good, but most hotels had high step-in tubs, which were unsafe for seniors. Seniors should be booked into rooms with only showers. Some were afraid to quest the high rubs and bathed from the sink. Not a pleasurable experience. Did not like the seat rotations! It's not fair to charge 'single travelers' more money than couples. Half way through a 2 week trip, it's good to include a hotel with an in-house laundry matt, rather than taking your laundry down the street in hand.

Overall, 12 days was too long, 8 days would have been more appropriate. The choice of group flights forced the group to miss the entire first day in Dublin with their arrival at 8pm. Thankfully, I arrived on my own flights at 8am and had the entire first day to tour Dublin. I would have been very disappointed had I not had the 2 full days in Dublin. Tour highlights were 2 days in Dublin, including St. Patricks Cathedral, Christ Church, Trinity College, the Book of Kells, the Kilmainham Prison and the Irish Music Show in The Den Bar after dinner in the Lansdowne Hotel. Beyond Dublin, Kilkenny, Waterford and the Blarney Castle were all worth seeing as the roads were excellent and the length of bus rides were minimal. In addition, the final night in the Cabra Castle north of Dublin was a must see. Less enjoyable was Killarney to Belfast (southwest to northeast Ireland along the west coast), the sites to be seen were a poor trade off for the length of the bus rides and the condition of the roads. I would like to have had an extra night in Belfast with its rich history which would have afforded a walking tour of the shipping district and murals created by the IRA and less time at the Titanic tourist hotspot. While the hotels were all very good, I would prefer to stay at hotels in the towns and villages where walking to sites and night life is available. Two of the hotels were so remote that walking to city venues was prohibited. I strongly encourage you to include the Kilmainham Prison Tour in Dublin in every tour you conduct in Ireland. The tour explains the history of Ireland from 1840 - present day which lays an excellent foundation for the rest of the trip.

The stops were well timed so we never had long waits, Peter had tickets at hand as soon as we disembarked from the bus. Traveling with 42 other people was easier and more fun than I thought it would be. The amount of time spent on the bus was appropriate with well timed stops in between our destinations.

The daughter had never been to see where mom was born, and raised. It so happened that Mom’s home place was on one of our tour routes. Sean, being the fine man he is, made sure daughter got to see the home place, and take photos for her memory book. Every member of the tour group was touched.

The Cliffs of Mohr were so beautiful, the drive around was amazing, the stay a Cabra Castle wasn't long enough but the time we were there was fabulous. The only place I didn't really enjoy was Limerick and it may have been the location. The hotel was kinda cold, to contemporary for me after all the wonderful old world hotels. The location didn't really provide us with great walking adventures. Felt a bit limiting. However, we didn’t get there til late afternoon and after dinner it was dark and raining so we didn’t have an opportunity to really enjoy the grounds and then left at 5am to get to the airport. I also enjoyed the Cliffs of Morrh and the Ring of Kerry tour.

Loved the towns of Kilkenny and Kilarney the most. I just wish we could have spent more time there. The tour needs to be longer or tweaked. Spent too much time in Derry and would have much rather had more time in Kilkenny and Kilarney. Should skip Waterford all together or make it an add on option for those interested. if you aren't into crystal Waterford doesn't offer much else. Only had 1 hour and 45 mins. in Kilkenny and also didn't have enough time at the Blarney Castle to actually go up into the castle. The tour schedule is just too tight and you are in and out of too many hotels.

This tour was my favourite of the 4. The country is small so there isn't too much travel time between stops, leaving us more time to sight see. The choices of places to stop was terrific. It was varied, and offered us a glimpse of different ways of life in different parts of the country. My favourite place was "The Cliff of Moher". They were spectacular. Just awe inspiring. But by far, my favourite city was Derry. I'm so glad I chose to take the Northern Ireland trip as well. It was truly amazing. The people were so genuine and Derry was just a great city. I loved Ireland so much that I plan to return in a few years. This is something I don't do because there are so many places to see that I prefer to go somewhere new each time. But Ireland has a special place in my heart.

VERY well organized and put together. PERFECT amount of free time. One suggestion would be the very last night at CabraCastle. In the morning, some people have to get up much earlier then others and it would have been nice to room those people AWAY from the people who didn't have to get as early. Even though I didn't have to get up until 5AM, I was awoken at 3:30AM because they were rooming RIGHT ABOVE ME and when they move and walk down the stars, the ENTIRE building gets woken up because the noise travels QUITE EASILY in those buildings. That was quite frustrating. I am not a real deep sleeper and would have appreciated not being roomed RIGHT UNDER people that had to get up much earlier then I Another suggestion I have is to provide more time in Kilkenny. I'm SO GLAD we stopped there though because not all tour companies do. I did the old ROUND TOWER at St. Candice's Cathedral and I LOVED it. There are only TWO in the ENTIRE WORLD that are still climbable and this was one of them. ***** had it on her suggestion sheet and I'm SO THANKFUL she did! I had just enough time to get there and climb and had the BEST VIEW OF KILKENNY!! Now as much as I LOVED that, my most memorable experience happened the VERY first night at the welcome dinner. After the show, the Irish dancer got off stage to get volunteers to dance with her. Well I always wanted to Irish dance. She was a professional who has danced in RIVERDANCE and I got to dance with her. CLEARLY my most memorable experience. I was moved so much that I have decided to take up Irish dancing classes here in my home town. I absolutely LOVE the energy of that dance!! Also, Riverdance will be in my town of Colorado Springs, CO this March for their world tour and I am going for my birthday! I'm super excited!

The trip did not live up to the description of "taking a tour through history." Some of the included "tours" were being handed a map by the tour guide on the bus who oriented you to where you were in the city. Out of the way stops were made at "authentic shops" taking hours away from the time in cities that were listed as part of the tour; even resulting in our tour guide rushing a local tour guide to cut the tour short so we were not late for dinner. Listed as an activity level 3, there was very little walking actually included even with opting for the walking tours. Our previous experience with Collette was great, this was a huge disappointment.

My husband and I went to the Lynch Castle/now a bank. The staff reminded us that this is the time to see the castle/bank. Part of what I wanted this trip to be is a chance to get to know my grandmother Lynch better. I not only got to know her better, but they helped me learn more about the people of Ireland

My first large group tour and I very much enjoyed it. Didn't love being 1 of 44 people. But I did really like that our tour manager, Jennifer, gave us a good amount of 'free' time, so I didn't feel 'herded' from one place to the other. The Medieval Banquet was surprisingly a highlight for me -- could have been really cheesy, but was fun and the food was the best I had in Ireland!

Gogarty's in Dublin; that's one of the two reasons I was there; pub music St. patricks; Gaelic Roots phenomenal; Moriarity's excellent; Ring of Kerry excellent; visiting the Molanna farm-I want to go back; fascinating; the "jaunt" in the Park-excellent; King John's Castle, Cliffs of Moher, Waterford Crystal, Tullamore DEW all great; Medievel Banquet and castle, Cabra Castle were excellent. I rode a horse near Cabra-yeah; The boat ride was NOT a sailing and the motorman was deficient-the only downfall of the trip. Killarney, Killkeney, Blarney are worth a more extended stay.

I loved the little room he took us into and told his story about himself as a young man and his life experiences. I loved the Cliffs of Mohr. They were beautiful. When I first decided that I wanted to go to Ireland, the Cliffs were what I had in mind to see. The tours were all great. All the hotels we stayed at were simply wonderful. I really liked my room at the castle on the last night. I could have stayed there a few nights. It would be a great place to take walks and enjoy the country. It was my favorite hotel room. The Waterford crystal tour was very interesting. I enjoyed seeing the product being made from beginning to end. I have absolutely NO complaints about Collette or the tour. It was a wonderful trip/experience. I think the best part about the trip was our tour manager Michael Ohge. He was a wealth of information. My only complaint is that there is so much to see but never enough time to really see all you want. You might be given two hours at a location which seems like alot but really isn't. I think my highlight was staying the night at Cabra Castle. Unfortunately you arrive mid afternoon and because of our flight home had to leave at 4:45 a.m. But, all in all a wonderful trip.

A guide from Ireland would have lent more history, insight and local information. The last night we stayed 'in a castle' but it was the servants' quarters behind the castle, and from there we had to ride an hour and a half to Dublin airport meaning those with early flights had to get up at 4:30. Would recommend last night stay to be in Dublin since travelers are looking at a long day getting home when they leave anyway.
