Why Collette Hosts Familiarization Tours (FAMs)

It’s been proven that you have greater success selling a tour when you have actually been to the destination. A FAM gives you the opportunity to experience both the destination and the service provided by Collette.

Why travel on a FAM trip?

• New to Collette? Our FAMs showcase how we operate as a company, the quality of our product, and our commitment to service.
• FAMs provide you with a taste of the destination – information that you can bring back home to your members and groups.
• FAMs allow you to network with other travel professionals and learn what others are doing to grow their travel program.

What’s included?

Land only unless otherwise specified. Ask about our air add-on from your airport. Most meals are included. The number of meals will be on your final documents, which are sent approximately two weeks prior to departure.

Who qualifies to travel on a FAM?

FAMs are limited to qualified professionals looking to promote a future group tour with Collette. Collette vets the applications and identifies the most qualified advisors.

How and when will I be notified if I am accepted on a FAM?

You will be notified by email that your application was received. Then, within 30 days of receipt of the application, you will be notified if you have been confirmed.

When is payment due?

The $300 deposit plus Travel Protection Plan fee is due upon confirmation and booking. The final payment is due 60 days prior to departure.
