Pawtucket, RI (January 22, 2025) – Collette is participating in the New York City Travel and Adventure Show for the third straight year. Travellers and advisors can visit the tour operator’s booth at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Centre on both January 25 and 26. Collette’s display will feature an experience in all five senses of travel.

Collette Director of Product Design, Diana Ditto, will be speaking on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. Her 30-minute presentation will focus on some of the hidden gems of travel. Travellers and advisors can learn more about where Collette is headed next and why.

“Our travellers love exploring hidden gem destinations and their corresponding local charm,” said Ditto, “For example, our new ‘Japan and South Korea: From Seoul to Tokyo’ tour introduces travellers to the Ama pearl divers in Toba, Japan. They learn about the job and the day-to-day life of those women as well as the city itself. On ‘Mediterranean Coastal Journey” we visit a few cities, Marseille and Genoa, that are still big diverse shipping port cities. The diversity makes the food scene a bit more mixed, leaving travellers with more to try. The regions and their vendors love it as well, because it creates a new economic flow for them.”

Collette has launched several new tours for 2025, including “Gems of Greece” and “The Balkans,” which stray away from some over-loved destinations.

“Gems of Greece” will showcase the islands of Naxos and Crete starting in 2025. The relaxed pacing of the tour features three nights in Athens, three in Naxos, two in Heraklion, Crete, and then three in Chainia, Crete. Highlights include a sailboat excursion around Naxos and the surrounding Koufonissia Islands, connecting with the mission of Shedia Home, a café and artists’ workshop in Athens that supports its community, and a local cooking lesson at a Cretan co-op cafe. Travellers can book seats on “Gems of Greece” for departures as early as June 7, 2025, with prices starting at $5,249 USD pp.

“Albania is one of Europe’s fastest-growing travel destinations,” explained Jaclyn Leibl-Cote, president and CEO at Collette. “Over the past few decades, more travellers have shown increased interest in exploring the region’s breathtaking mountain ranges and scenic coastlines. This tour not only enables them to do that, but also offers the opportunity to learn about Albanian folklore, centered around heroism, mountain spirits, and the legendary “Shqiponja,” a powerful eagle symbolizing freedom.”

Collette takes advantage of the smaller-maximum group size of 24 travellers with tailored experiences like a home-hosted dinner in Sarajevo, a private boat tour through the unique scenery of Boka Bay, and an overnight stay at a farm in Karanac. The tour’s impact moment comes at the Sarajevo Tunnel of Hope, where travellers meet a Sarajevo Siege survivor. More intimate experiences like this are what makes Explorations special. Travellers can book seats on “The Balkans: From Coastal Croatia to Legendary Greece” for departures as early as June 9, 2025, with prices starting at $5,399 USD pp.
