From the migratory birds in the tidal marshes of Low Country to the black and brown bears that call Denali National Park home, there are a number of animals you may come across on one of our tours across North America. In honour of the National Wildlife Federation’s annual Wildlife Week, we caught up with some of our Tour Managers (and the Camera Rolls on their phones) to see what creatures they’ve seen on tour.
Here are a few of our favourite pics that our TMs snapped of animals they have seen whilst on the road:
Did you know female moose, called cow moose, do not grow antlers?
The Roosevelt Elk (also known as the Olympic Elk) are the third largest land mammal in North America. Males can weigh up to 1,100 pounds (500 kilograms)!
The American bison was named the national mammal of the U.S. in 2016. It’s the first national mammal in U.S. history and joined the bald eagle as a national symbol!
