Pawtucket, RI (December 15, 2018) – Collette, global tour operator, is thrilled to announce the recreation of its first ever tour in celebration of its centennial year. In 1918, Collette journeyed on dirt roads from Boston to Florida with fourteen travelers at a cost of just $61.50 for the guests.

A hundred years later, for the same price as the original tour, Collette is excited to have recreated this three-week adventure, which concludes today. The tour began in Pawtucket, Rhode Island and ventured all the way down to Miami, Florida, stopping in many destinations including- New York City, Washington D.C, Raleigh, Augusta, Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Miami, Jekyll Island, Savannah, Charleston, New Bern, Philadelphia, and Providence.

Along the way, the team made stops for meal packaging events by partnering up with Rise Against Hunger, as a finale to Collette’s One Million Meals initiative. The meal packaging events engaged hundreds of guests and Collette employees in working together to provide meals to those in need around the globe during a span of three years.“We’re excited to have recreated this journey as a special chance for travelers to really experience this tour from one hundred years ago and to give our guests the opportunity to give back to the community throughout the tour.” said Dan Sullivan Jr, CEO of Collette.
