With its vast size and range of climates, North America doesn’t have a single best travel season. Northern areas experience more pronounced seasonal changes, whilst southern regions tend to see milder shifts and longer stretches of warm weather. The best time to visit ultimately depends on your destination and priorities.
The top tour style depends on the region, landscape, and traveller. We offer a range of tours to showcase the best of each destination, from leisurely journeys and small-group adventures to cruises.

Born and raised in Rhode Island, Ariana has always been passionate about creating and sharing travel experiences — and that’s exactly what she does. She joined Collette in 2016, beginning in Marketing before becoming a product designer. Today, she’s one of the experts behind our journeys in the eastern U.S., eastern Canada, Hawaii, and beyond.

For over 10 years, Wesley has been one of the friendly faces guiding travellers on Collette tours — which means he’s part encyclopedia, part friend, and part concierge. Wesley is also the regional destination manager for several U.S. tours. So even if he isn’t leading the way as your Tour Manager, he might still have a hand in your journey.

Tour manager was awesome. Clare has excellent communication skills. Enjoyed all the arranged activities, especially visiting the lavender gardens, the First Nations, and the goat farm. I hope Collette adds more small group tours in the future.

The history lesson with Bob , and the food included, was WONDERFUL!!!! There wasn’t anything I didn’t enjoy, and I thought our tour guide was EXCELLENT!!! He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating!

Loved eating all the delicious seafood. Melanie was an amazing tour guide. Loved Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. Was disappointed with the sea crest hotel. They did not clean or restock while we were there and we had to go down to get towels, soap and cups bc even when we called they didn’t bring up.

Enjoyed touring the Mayflower and the Whale Museum. The time spent in Providence was great.

I had been on Collette tours before this one and they were great, so I expected the same however this one was more than I expected. Since touring the Isles of Cape Cod I thought this would be like that only in Canada. It was so much more to see and learn - especially that the tour is in the Atlantic Standard time zone and there is also a Newfoundland time zone. Truly lives up to the Coastal Wonders name.

I enjoyed seeing a part of the United States that I had never visited before. The accommodations were very nice and clean, and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed Rapid City with their shops and restaurants and the bronze statues of the US Presidents located at the street corners. Mt. Rushmore was impressive as well as the Crazy Horse Memorial. The small trips not mentioned in the main itinerary (Minuteman Missile National Historic Site, Devils Tower, Heart Mountain Relocation Center) were thought provoking and wonderful to visit. Yellowstone National Park was amazing, even with the inclement weather - it definitely did not disappoint! The views of the Grand Tetons were breathtaking. I haven’t mentioned all of the wonderful stops, but I would recommend this trip to anyone!

First, I cant say enough great things about Lee Vale. He was an amazing tour manager. He is kind, thoughtful, professional and has such an easy-going way about him while maintaining attention to detail. He made it a point to make aure every guest was well taken care of and addressed every single question or request that came up. And his stories were excellent! He had so much personal and historical knowledge. I would 100% absolutely tour with Collette and especially Lee again.
