should never I was disappointed in several areas. Our first hotel was great in regard to location and ambience, however, our meal there was fair at best. I would have much preferred to select my own restaurant to experience real Italian food. The welcome dinner should never have been the day we arrived. We were all too exhausted and way too hot. Our second hotel was a real disappointment. We had to figure out how to light the hallways and how to keep the ac working. There were very few outlets, our room was dirty and basically had to rearrange the beds to sleep comfortably by utilizing our own fans with the nearest outlet. Although the food was better, I still would rather have eaten in a restaurant so that I could select my own meal. I feel that I missed experiencing the meals that I expected to eat. And finally when we were able to pick our restaurant we weren't given enough time to eat where we wanted to. All that being said, I did enjoy the tours especially the one to the Prosecco winery and the small Italian village as well as the glass blowing factory. And a special thanks to our travel agency. Lori made sure that we had all of the information that we needed and was always available to assist us.

we would rate this as 2.5 stars if possible. We very much enjoyed the hotel in Stresa. The included dinners at the hotels were very disappointing. Although the staff in the hotel outside of Treviso were wonderful, the location of was inconvenient and did not seem to align with how the tour was marketed by Collette. The trip was underprogrammed. My wife who was on this trip has traveled with Collette to Italy multiple times and she was disappointed that so few activities were included, and that the tours that were offered (whether as part of the package or as an add-on) were not particularly interesting or informative.

The individual tours were very good. First night meal was excellent (on Fisherman’s Island (?). Dinner at the first hotel; not so much. I really feel Collette failed when only two bottles of wine were available for a table of 10. That was ridiculous. Meal on final two nights were good, but amount of wine allocated to the group was again ridiculous. Accommodations at first hotel were very good. At the second hotel not so much. Had to change rooms because of broken shower door and a toilet that kept flushing without being used.

I would suggest a few things...Welcome dinner should not be the first night. Too tired. Having a lot of dinners at the hotel is not the best idea. The second hotel's food was good, the first hotel was beautiful, but the food was not good.

The welcome dinner shouldn’t have been the first night. We were all exhatfrom the long flight. The second hotel was unacceptable, and too far from the sights of Venice.

Alissandro Morandi, our tour guide, was exceptional in his people-skills and knowledgeable to communicate the big picture, rather than getting bogged down in insignificant details.

Fabulous tour manager, beautiful sites, great hotels, food was a little "iffy" at times but well worth the trip!

The last hotel was not prepared and they were very agitated. Room assignments were messed up and room keys did not work most of the time. More free time to explore the cities and shopping.

Luca made the experience perfect. He was very knowledgeable, funny, kind, and handled situations with grace. The scenery was magnificent and I enjoyed everything about all the places we visited. No to mention the perfect weather we had. The material provided was helpful and organized.

The tour manager was very friendly and made it a point to get to know everyone. He interacted with everyone and made everyone feel welcome. He also went out of his way on my birthday and had a piece of cake delivered to our table and the group sang Happy Birthday to me. The accommodations were definitely different in another country. The rooms were smaller - but comfortable. The included breakfast at each of the locations was very good with a nice selection. The tour inclusions were okay except for the Brenta Canal. There was nothing special about the cruise down the canal. We only saw villas from the outside and drawbridges being opened and closed for the boat to proceed in select areas. The first four days in Padua could have been reduced to maybe 2 or 3 days and added another day of visiting in Venice. The tour of Venice was rushed and the time before we had to be at the ferry was much too short.
